Your experience with ASD and stimulant medication?

Howdy, friends.

I was diagnosed with ASD last November, and I have ADHD screening tomorrow. In the event that I am diagnosed with it, I would likely be interested in medication, whether that’s adderall, vyvanse, or a nonstimulant med that could help.

For context, I misused adderall once in college (I had an ED at the time, and I tried to use it as an appetite suppressant. Not my greatest choice, I’m aware). However, the day I took it unprescribed was probably the quietest my brain has EVER been. It was like heaven. My million thought streams became one, I wasn’t over- or under-stimulated, and I felt generally content with my life lol. However, I know that one day on it is not indicative of any long term effects, side effects, or general function on the day to day.

If you are on any of these, how does it interact with your ASD? Does it make it easier? Harder? TIA.
