Psyker feels...weak?

Just to preface this, I'm a returning player and I used to main Psyker well over a year ago. Anyways, as the title says, Psyker just feels underpowered unless you're going for the Purg and Dueling sword combo, which I don't believe the exception makes the rule. Psyker is supposed to embody the glass cannon archetype, and it used to, at least back when I played, but now you are consistently out damaged by the other classes, even when trying to build for high single target damage. This is all to say that Psyker feels like their in a strange spot in the team comp. They're the most fragile class yet their damage, (ignoring the Purg staff in specific as that monster is an outlier), is pretty lackluster. Their talent tree doesn't help either(though I do believe Veteran got shafted harder).
