Any tips for anomaly ? Is my current run normal ?

Hello there, war criminals !

I've had Anomaly since its release, but never ever tried it before. Right now I'm running a new modded colony, though I don't think I have mods affecting Anomaly's difficulty.

I started my colony with Randy, Blood and Dust, and set anomaly's inactive threats to 0% and active threats to 20%. My colony is currently mid-industrial in terms of tech level. Since I reached 14 colonists and had a second researcher, I decided to activate the monolith.

And boy, in not even a week I had three sightstealers infestations, and one revenant. The last sightstealer raid must have been close to a hundred of them. I lost three pawns and pretty much all the rest got shredded and close to dying. Plus, I used a berserk pulse on a pack of them who also had someone from a visiting caravan in. They turned hostile, and all their people who were close to my base started attacking my colonists. It was a massacre.

Does anybody have any tips for Anomaly ? Maybe I rushed into it too soon ? I did emprison that revenant, maybe it increased the threat level ?
