When you first started playing Pokemon, what was something crazy about how you first played?

For me it was Gen 2 remake of Heart Gold

In Heart Gold i some how and dont ask me how thought when the male and female characters popped up i was naming my parents and named myself Mom for the entire game, not only that i picked Chicorete and then Totodile first but kept losing to the first gym and thought i picked the wrong option so after resent the game twice i picked Cyniquil as my started on my 3rd attempt ( also i got stuck after the ice gym not knowing where to go and quit the game only to come back 4 years after beaing Gen 5's White later and beat Heart Gold
