Bold Take: StreetwearSynthesis is Too Influencer-driven

StreetwearSynthesis being too influencer-driven feels like a fair criticism. It's gotten to the point where genuine creativity takes a backseat to whatever hypebeast item some sponsored personality is pushing. I see so many posts showcasing the same few sneakers or jackets, usually ones that are already sold out adn reselling for ridiculous prices. It makes the whole sub feel less about authentic self-expression and more like a digital billboard.

Don't get me wrong, influencers can expose people to cool brands and ideas. But when they're constantly the focus, the community loses its organic feel. Remember when people were piecing together unique outfits based on thrift store finds and smaller, self-reliant designers? Now it seems like everyone is chasing the same "look" dictated by whoever has the moast followers.

Is there a way to shift the focus back to individual style and creativity within StreetwearSynthesis? Maybe more emphasis on DIY pieces, collaborations with lesser-known artists, or just fostering a culture that values originality over brand recognition. I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on this.
