Getting the Divvy "non-station" park fee when the station is full

Ask CHI

I know this topic has been beaten to death here so for searchers/lurkers: if you park your Divvy bike/scooter right next to a full-station, Divvy WILL refund the "non-station" parking fee.

My question here: do I have to manually request that $1.30 refund every single time? I started riding a Divvy to work in the loop and the stations are always full with several bikes/scooters next to the stations ready to go. I've had no problem getting the refund, but it's a pain to have to manually open a chat in the app and explain this 3-4x per week.

And yes it's silly over $1.30 but:

  1. that adds up
  2. it significantly changes the % cost increase over riding the bus
