Should I get AppleCare for my month and a half new iPhone 16 that has a pretty bad battery life?
Sorry for the long question! I’m not sure where else to turn, and I keep seeing mixed answers on this issue. I got my new iPhone 16 after having the 14 for 2-2.5 years, and my new 16’s battery life seems worse than my 14. I charged my phone at work to 69% at 5, and now with background to heavy usage I’m at 12% at 8:49. I tried downloading the AIDA64 app, and it says my capacity is at 3274, and another poster said it should be at 3500. It loses battery so fast, and this is a new phone that I got from Verizon. I’ve never had a new iPhone lose battery this fast ever and I’ve had them for at least a decade. I know my 30 day warranty with Verizon is up now, but I’m wondering if I should still get the AppleCare coverage that’s still available to me to get help or replacement with the battery. I’ve always liked Apple (minus Siri, which is also worse with the 16), but I’m starting to wondering if I should go with an Android if I’m going to have to deal with this sort of thing after getting a new phone.
