My entitled father is spoiling my brother while I can’t even get clothes for school

I posted this before and used chat gpt so I wouldn’t be made fun of for bad punctuation because I am still in 8th grade so sorry about that. I am 14 my father is 36, my step mother is 32 and my brother is 12. Here’s the story. I recently moved in with my real mom. This all started a couple of weeks ago—I’d come to my mom’s for the summer, and after being here for a while, I decided I wanted to stay. So, I told my dad that I was going to stay with my mom.

Keep in mind, I have a couple of fish tanks at my dad’s house.

Not even a day later, my brother texts our group chat saying he got a new PC worth about $1,500. I’m thinking, “Wow, I’ve been asking for a PC for so long and never got one.” But I didn’t say anything.

Two days go by, and now my stepmom finds him a job. At this point, he’s rubbing everything in my face, and I’m kind of mad—but again, I say nothing.

Another day goes by, and I find out they got him expensive LED lights. Still, I say nothing.

He keeps rubbing it in like salt in a wound, and now I’m really upset—but I keep my mouth shut.

Fast forward to today: he texts in the group chat, saying, “I GOT A BASS GUITAR!!!” and “NOW WE CAN START A BAND WITHOUT [my name].”

At this point, I’ve had enough. I go off—not because of what he said, but because I’ve been asking for a bass guitar for years and never got one.

My dad and stepmom refuse to help my mom out, and she can’t even afford to buy me new shoes or clothes for school.

So, am I the jerk for being upset?
