Missed connection at Lambert?
This may be a long shot since I don't know this guy's name, I only know he's from StL area and we were supposed to be on the same plane to Charlotte, NC on Friday. But I'd like to maybe talk to him again, or at least thank him for his assistance.
I had been up for going on 20 hours by then, and in the airport for at least 3 hours by the time they gave up and just canceled it. So I got in line, along with a bunch of other people to try to talk to the gate agent (potentially about food vouchers or new tickets). She started handing out slips of paper that described how to rebook flights and then walked away. A lot of people stepped out of line and left, but a few of us hung around to work on rebooking on our phones or whatever. This guy came up behind me and we ended up discussing the situation and what options we were seeing on our apps. (As midwesterners do, we also figured that driving would have been faster at that point). We also learned we were flying back to StL the same day. He was able to rebook his flight, and before he walked away he asked if he could get anything else for me. I asked if he could help with sleep, and he jokingly said he could.
I was hoping I'd see him in the airport on the way home, but I didn't. So, if you or someone you know was going to Charlotte this weekend, shoulder length-ish dark hair, and is taller than me (>5'5"), then please let me know. It felt like we hit it off (maybe just in a friendly way, idk, I was exhausted) and I'd at least like to thank him.
