Failed Medical Exam
Hey everyone,
I recently got an email stating I did not meet the requirements for the medical exam for the TSO position.
When I called Acuity to check on the status of it, they told me they just got my medical results this morning and it would take 7-10 business days to process the results for a final decision. I then received an email stating that the results are under review at 10AM today. Fast forward to 1PM today and I got the email stating I did not meet the requirements.
I cannot think of a single thing I would have failed for. I've read online and most are saying it's either due to not seeing 20/20, or hearing. I've never had issues with either of these before. The only mistake I can think that I made for the eye exam was I incorrectly read 1 lettter on line 11 on my right eye, and then correctly read line 10. Wouldn't that still be 20/20? I saw somewhere she marked 22, either 20/22 or 22/20 which makes zero sense to me.
What makes me nervous about it is the staff seemed to have no clue exactly how to go about the exam. Multiple of them stated I was the first one that came in needing the exam done from TSA.
I was also told that everything looked good so I'm very confused on the whole situation.
Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? If so, what did the appeal process look like? Also, how long did it take to receive your letter via FedEx?
All help is appreciated!
