deleting badges?

i really really need help with this, i try to be as careful as i can with my console cause i don’t want to brick it nor do i really have the money for new sd cards lol.

i followed a video guide on installing badges, got to a part where the guy installs the badges into the badges folder, and inside the 3ds he remembers to delete the preview image, so i followed along and deleted the preview image also in my 3ds badge folder, except mine seemingly didn’t actually truly delete, and still doesn’t.

i didn’t realise at first that it didn’t actually delete, it disappeared and there was no error message or anything, so obviously i assumed it was gone, but when getting to the next step of opening cias in fbi it just crashes my ds.

i literally cannot find any actual definitive answer on what i should do next, i don’t want to fuck up my sd card/ds or corrupt anything, what can actually happen with a preview image stuck on the sd card?
