For context, 
I’m 21
I usually cook my own food at home but my mom’s boyfriend made cheese burgers. I told my mom I was starting my fast earlier today and the duration of said fast. So I obviously would not be eating dinner. However, when she asked I said I’m still deciding because I was being tempted. I walked to the kitchen and looked and then walked away, she asked again, I said no. 

Sometime has passed, and my mom is saving the left-overs. She knocks on my door and I don’t hear. She then opens the door, I didn’t hear her. She then talks to me and I jump, because I did not know she was in my room. I looked at her and she screamed at me “Do you want the fucking cheeseburgers or not?” At that point, I’m even more shocked because she’s screaming at me. I ask her why she’s screaming, however I ONLY got out the “why” and she said because “i’m looking at her like i’m fucking retarded” and slams the door and proceeds to slam stuff around in the kitchen as she’s packing away the food. 

I don’t say a thing, then she texts me saying all of this. I guess she thought because I was looking at her confused/surprised, that I was upset about how she knocked. As you can see, by the fact that she saw my reaction and assumed it was because of that, means she knows it’s wrong and she’s done it before. I explained I was just shocked, and I wasn’t upset about the knocking. However, I took the opportunity to stand my ground on the knocking issue. 

I’m not super upset, honestly this whole thing has become laughable. 

Am I overreacting ? My mom is upset that I didn’t answer her question right away, I took the time to address a different real problem SHE brought up.
