Last confirms that Garp would have serious problems beating Kaido, he problaby would win due to his scaling to Roger but it would be extreme-diff
We see Roger here taking a Garp punch to the head without that much damage, like he gets damaged logically but he is fine. This is key because Roger is just a normal human, most of his durability comes from his Haki
In comparison someone like Kaido has crazy physical durability even in base form, far above what Roger wuld have without Haki, and then you add the Dragon form which boost durability even more and you also have Kaido's Haki which is very powerful which he can use to protect himself
In an actual fight Kaido should be able to tank Garp's attacks without much damage, yes I'm saying here that Garp will struggle a lot to put Kaido down.
If I had to guess Garp will problaby win but it's stupid to argue that it won't be an extreme-diff fight, especially when Kaido hits really hard thanks to his cub meaning every attack that Kaido land on Garp is gonna do a lot of damage to Garp, by the end of the fight Kaido will be extremely damaged and in a terrible physical state.
Like people ignore this but the only reason Luffy beat Kaido is because of his ability to basically take no damage from blunt attacks thanks to G5 ruuberization, this made Kaido's attacks almost useless which wouldn't be the case against Garp who does not have this ability
And even then Kaido's strongest ACoC attack did actually managed to bypass G5's durability which shows how hard Kaido's hit, the same attack is doing insane amount of damage to Garp who like I insisted already does not have the same durability as G5 Luffy who is almost inmune to blunt attacks
And there is of course Kaido's finisher attack, an attack so powerufl that it required Luffy to pull out a Island Sized AcoC fist to be able to overpowered it, Garp would need to put all of his Haki into a single attack if he is to beat Kaido, he problaby can do it but it will take all of his power to be utilized and thus it will be an extreme-diff
So to end this, I think the idea that Garp or Roger would beat Kaido in anything less than extreme-diff fight should end after last chapter, Kaido problaby loses to them but it's gonna be a super hard fight that's gonna leave them nearly defeated
