U-haul

I recently just moved into a new apartment and I had a friend (Let’s call him R) help me with moving and so in turn, i let him use my u-haul in order to move as well. I’ve been good friends with R for 2 years now.

before this situation, he asked me if he could use the u-haul so let’s call her “J” move. (I’m not fond of J and I do not like her at all and he knows this so i’m not really sure why he was asking for her anyway.)

i made it clear to him that i didn’t want anyone using my truck for free since it was expensive due to moving 2 1/2 hours away. He ended up taking the truck and being gone for about 3-4 hours roughly and then he returned it. for some context, he’s moving from an on campus dormitory (the room can’t be bigger than 10x10). He comes back the next day and he takes the U-haul for another 6-8 hours which i found strange because i know it shouldn’t take that long to move as I helped him move in the past with just cars and i started to become suspicious and i called him that day because i wanted to return the u-haul as the due date was early the next morning and i asked him why it was taking so long and he told me that “it was only him moving so obviously it would take him longer.” i’m like alright.. whatever and we return it the next morning.
