Selected wrong length of Stay and triggered health examination

Hi,

I applied for tourist visa sub 600 back in July 20th, when I submitted the application, I realized I picked the wrong drop down for “length of stay”, I picked 12 months stay instead of 3 months stay…

This auto triggered the health examination…

I immediately submitted the form of notification for incorrect answer on the same day.

Days after I even uploaded a cover letter and further explained my situation.

I have tried to call the number listed on the home affairs website, none of them can help me with this, they all told me I had to wait for the health examination to expire… which is 28 days…

I have a trip coming up at the end of August, am I screwed here?

I am located in US, but I come from a country in which require a visa to visit Aus.
