Frustrating
It felt frustrating at 18 confined to a psych ward for my first manic episode. I was just a university student. I met fate naked the first time. It was disgruntled and paranoid roommate naked and refusing to put on his clothes. A schizophrenic. He was throwing a fit and going on and on about Jesus talking to him. This included waking me up in the middle of the night to ask me if I had received the great word. He often went into tangents while naked and getting shots to the ass to calm him down and clothed. He had a wife he was away from him. He believed in his delusions that she sent him to the ward due to his connection with God. I was separated from my own love of heroin. I spent the nights kicking my legs like a jack rabbit in withdrawals.
He had received another message from God. Our toilets in the facility were special and could not be used to flush anything other than bio waste. This was designed to prevent flushing medication. He had attempted to flush his wedding ring. Before a piss I saw the ring at the bottom of the toilet and told him. I assumed it fell off of him. He had attempted to flush it away and when I told him the news he took it as a gin from God that he was supposed to stay married to his wife.
