On this day, *The Jackson 5* performed at **Cincinnati Gardens** as part of their busy 1972 Summer tour, a stop that’s not often highlighted in modern histories, but was unmistakably promoted and reviewed at the time.

🔹 A concert advertisement in the *Cincinnati Enquirer* listed *The Jackson 5* for Friday, July 14 at 8:30 PM, with tickets priced at $6, $5, and $4 via Ticketron outlets and the arena box office

🔹 A preview article titled *“Guess who’s coming to town?”* introduced fans to the group, their L.A. home, schooling at Buckley, and family tour setup, building anticipation for the show

🔹 A concert review published afterward confirmed the concert took place, with 3,500 excited fans in attendance, colorfully costumed performances, and even a mention of Randy briefly joining in on stage

*The Jackson 5’s* Summer tour of 1972 was packed with stops across the U.S.—but their visit to Cincinnati that night captured the spirit of early *Motown* magic: youthful energy, swinging families, and a Midwest venue that helped shape their story 🎤✨

_**Note:** The last slide of the original article includes racially insensitive language regarding the group’s dancing. Out of respect for Michael and his brothers, that portion has been omitted._
