Maternity Clothes seem so expensive!!

Hi, FTM, soon to be 30, and first time poster here. I'm 9w 4d into my pregnancy and I'm already gaining weight and hate anything that's tight around my belly. I know I have a bit before I really have to worry about a true baby bump, but I really like to be prepared.

Honestly? I'm stressing out 😅 I keep getting ads for maternity clothes and pregnancy pillows and I swear every time I click them to check prices, it's absolutely absurd. Who is actually spending $60+ on a pair of leggings? 😭 I did cave and bought the LAVUVA 2 piece sets, but only because they look super comfy and it was buy 2 get one free... But even then it was like $80 and for someone who loves to save money wherever possible because I'm unfortunately not even close to well off and I'm trying to save to buy a home with my partner before baby arrives... That's not something I can splurge on often.

Anyway... Even in department stores when browsing I feel like maternity clothes are always way more expensive. I plan to only have one kid, maybe 2 at most but that will be years from now... So investing in expensive clothes that I'll only wear a handful of times throughout the next several months just feels like a waste.

Am I looking in all the wrong places? Is there a secret to this I'm unaware of? Am I worrying about this way too much? Lol... Feel free to share your experiences, I'll take all the advice I can get 🙏🏻
