being lead on

is it a turn off for girls if a guy has been lead on by someone he liked, like, if the guy genuinely has liked one or two women in the past, has done a lot for them while being genuine and not the playboy kinda crap, just to end up being lead on, is it a turn off for women later on if they get to know that the guy has been nice to someone he wanted a future with? like, as in doing things for the woman and turns out that he can't be doing that for someone later on for the first time. Nothing bad, just stuff out of love.
