Why is it so difficult to stand up to our parents?
It can be challenging to stand up because since we were young, we already knew how our parent are going to react when we rebel.
And usually we don’t like the feelings that comes with it.
So when we stand up, the only thing that will happen is that our parents manipulation tactics will increase in intensity and frequency.
So what happens is that sometimes we may break under the pressure, and we go in this cycle where they know, if they want us to revert back, all they have to do is to add more force.
So how do we deal with this?
When I work with my clients, one of the things I do with work with their subconscious mind so that they can withstand all of these emotions.
Then I will walk through how to respond back to any reactions their parents will throw at them.
This is the 1-2 punch, where they will be able to handle their own emotions, not let other people control their lives. They will feel they can take the power back and make the most appropriate choice for themselves.
