First trip to Italy! Is my itinerary feasible? I may need a reality check.
Hello Everyone!
I’m (26F) planning a two-week trip to Italy from September 1–14, and I’d love some help finalizing my itinerary. I’m hoping to lock things in this week so I can start booking accommodations and activities. Currently, only two things are booked: My roundtrip flight (arrives in Rome on Sept.1st and departs Sept.14th) and my ticket to the Monza Gran Prix on September 7th.
My must-visits are:
- Rome (min. 4 days)
- Amalfi Coast
- Venice
- Possibly Sardinia (if it’s not too rushed)
The challenge is that Monza is near Milan in the north, so I’m trying to balance beach time with city sightseeing and avoid too much backtracking. Here is the itinerary I’m considering:
Itinerary: South > North > Rome
- Sept. 1-6: Amalfi Coast and Sardinia
- Sept. 6: Travel to Milan
- Sept. 7: Monza Gran Prix
- Sept 8: Milan to Venice
- Sept 9: Venice to Rome
- Sept 10-14: Rome
A few questions I have:
- Is Sardinia worth squeezing in, or better saved for another trip?
- Is there anything I should leave out or add?
Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions!
