Fear and Hunger closing for no reason.

Ok, so I was doing a playthrough of Funger2 nothing special. Issue is I had gone an hour and a half or so without saving. Out of the blue while I’m going to a different area the game just closes out, no warning, I didn’t close it myself nor did I press alt+F4 or anything like that. This was the unmodded steam version of the game and this is not the first time it’s happened to me and it’s also happened to me in Funger1. Has this happened to anyone else or is this just me.
