Idea for a new match type
I actually came up with a really good idea for a gimmick match. Two ring set up. 4 teams. Each ring will have two people in it, you can tag your partner or someone in the other ring to swap rings, and its first pinfall or submission in either ring wins. So you basically have two tag team matches side by side but linked and the matches end after first pinfall or submission. So you could have, like Bret Hart got the Sharpshooter on Marty Jannetty in ring 1 but in ring 2 LOD hits the Doomsday Device on Stan Lane. Cover. 1. 2. (Bell rings) 3. LOD celebrates in ring 2, Hart Foundation celebrates in ring 1. They both think they've won. Official decision, Jannetty submitted in ring 1 before referee made the 3 count in ring 2. Hart Foundation win. That's just an example. But it would be a great concept match. I call it the Double Jeopardy Tag Team Turmoil Match. I came up with it for my AWA, Battle by the Bay, Cow Palace show. I wanted to make there be a big battle royal as the big draw of the show, cause the Cow Palace hosted annual battle royals, Pat Patterson was a star there, and those battle royals were inspiration for the Royal Rumble, he wanted a way to not have everyone in the ring at the same time. Well so do I, but Patterson doesn't work for me and its 1983 the royal rumble isn't invented yet. So I came up with using 2 rings like World War 3, but not 60 people. You do 10 in each ring, you can trade rings at will up until the final 4, once there's 2 left they have a singles match. So I came up with that, the Big Time Battle Royal. Those are 2 ideas, they both use 2 rings so you do em both on one super card. Hell you got two rings might as well do War Games too. Now that's using them productively. You could even do a normal 4 corners match but with 2 rings, a ref in each ring, and it's first to win. That would be a Double Jeopardy 4 Way match.
