What is the difference between Southwest and Tex-Mex cuisine?
Hey friends! Hoping you can help me! I’m writing up my blog post for tomorrow and I’m needing to know the difference between these two cuisines. I know that Southwest cuisine focuses mostly on the chile and Tex-Mex is a type of Southwest cuisine that originated in Texas, focusing more on beans, meat, and cheeses. I want to give the most accurate information and while I do a lot of research, I’m finding a lot of conflicting info on google. I once dated a Hispanic who told me that people get really crabby about this stuff! And I can confirm from when I shared my street corn casserole here (I was clear it wasn’t authentic) lots raged about it and lots loved it. Anyway, I thought you’d be the best bunch to ask?
Thank you so much!🩷
