Some general questions on macbook gaming future and choice of macbook

Native

Hello guys,

I currently have a LENOVO yoga pro 14.5 3K (2944 x 1840), 120 Hz

Intel Core i7-13700H (14 hearths, 20 threads)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6 Go 1 To SSD bought in february 2024.

I had in the past a macbook air m1 that I broke...

I like my current laptop, it enables me to play almost all the games in mid or low settings (like BF 6)

However I miss macos and the macbook laptop in general.

I follow macgaming reddit and see months after months improvements on gaming and their chipsets are crazy. It seems the really limitation for this progression is anticheat from developers, are there some news on it ? Could I expect soon the possibility to play via crossover without these issues?

So I've finally ended my medicine studies and would like to give me a great personal award haha : a macbook pro. I would sell my laptop which would maybe get me 700 euros back from 1400 I paid.

A nice guy from apple staff gave me some advices and suggested me to get a 14 pro 20 gpu (obviously) but with 64go of ram because virtualisation takes a lot of ram and to be comfortable for the next years for video editing and gaming. What do you think about it ? It adds 500 euros more on a laptop already very expensive.

Also because I broke two macbook in 10 years (with 2 years without laptop between both) haha, he suggested me to subscribing to apple care plus, it is worth it?

Thanks for your answers and have fun guys.
