Managing Alternate GMail from Android Phone

Hi,

I have recently been assigned a GMail address from a non-profit organization. I don't mind reading and processing the emails from my computer but I'm missing notifications that anything has arrived requiring my attention.

I thought I could simply add the alternate GMail account to my phone, but it then wants to add the whole account to my phone including contacts, calendars and tasks. That seems like it could become pretty confusing.

Is there a way to get the email to my Pixel device without adding the whole account to my phone?
