Could my ovarian cyst make me suicidal?

19F, 5'5'', 186 lbs, multiracial, in the US, PTSD, ovarian cyst/tumor, recently hospitalized for suicidal ideation

I've been really struggling mentally and I also have an ovarian cyst. I've been struggling more than normal and was involuntarily committed a couple days ago. I'm doing better now although I'm terrified I'll go back.

My family's worried, angry, and keeps asking me why I'd do something like that. I don't know how to explain it. They love me but they don't really understand mental health so I was wondering if I could explain this because of the cyst.
