Clutch or slave cylinder? Or other issue?

2014 Abarth 105k pretty stock besides air intake and engine rebuild I did like 5 months ago. I shifted into first while shifting to second gear i had a loud pop and the clutch pedal became spongy. Dash lights came on. I turned off the car and turned it back on. It shifts into gear just jerks about a foot forward and stalls. While pushing it off to the side I noticed it leaking red fluid looked like trans fluid. Anyone have something like that happen there’s no grinding when I try to shift it so idk if it’s clutch and don’t want to commit to taking it apart today 😂.
