Are the Sony WH-1000XM series headphones really that good?

I currently only have Galaxy Buds 3 for noise canceling, but they aren't really good at noise canceling.

I'm looking at the Sony WH-1 000XM4, which costs around £179, and the newer XM5, which is about £239.

Does anyone know if the XM5 is really worth the extra £60? I'm trying to decide if it's better enough to justify the price.
