Advice from those who transitioned from FTE to Contract/Part-time

I am currently a Program Manager (full-time employee) for a corporate company. I also have a side services business that’s taking off and demanding more of my time and attention to where it’s difficult to manage on top of my 8-5 + commute.

What I have been considering is seeking out a part-time (less than 40 hours) remote contract role so that I can still have a steady income while allowing more time to focus on my personal business.

I was hoping to see if others have done something similar and how it worked out for them. Also would love any tips like how to best structure a resume to win these types of roles, where to find these types of roles (outside of normal LinkedIn and Indeed), etc.
