[Roadbike] Too heavy for carbon frame ?
Hello,
just want to ask someone more experienced on the topic Im struggling with.
I weight +/- 109 kg but going down every week, so I decided to buy alu road bike as my first one. It is quite nice sensa on full shimano 105 r7100 2x12 group. I bought some nice wheels that can handle my weight on dt swiss rr521 32spokes, dt370 hub. It is pretty much endurance geometry.
But sometimes I feel like I would like to have something more stiff, more racing geometry. So I am thinking of buying new carbon frameset, move all parts from old bike to new frame. For old one I have some parts to make it an indoor trainer for mywhoosh.
Question is is it makes sense to go for carbon with 109 kg weight ? Will it start braking after a season ? I saw some videos on YT that says its no problem, carbon will work without any issues, but I met also a lot of people saying it will not :) Im pretty much confused on this topic :) Anyone have some more experience on carbon frameset and 100+kg weight ?
