Wildfires in Franc

France is experiencing its largest wildfires since 1949, an area larger than the city of Paris (over 16,000 hectares or around 61 square miles) is on fire.

This is in SW France, in the Languedoc region near Jonquières, the WSJ story did not say much about any impact on wineries other than to note that the removal of vineyards in the region has resulted in fewer firebreaks, but wildfires in the NW USA a few years ago caused a lot of grapes to be unusable for wine because they had been exposed to the smoke.
