Ms Atwell is my psychology teacher and we haven’t had the strongest relationship since I’ve joined her class. She bluntly thinks of me as a delinquent who can never fully grasp the subject, she thinks that I can’t succeed in it either. As a student athlete, I had to take an elective and the only one I could take was Ms Atwell’s psychology class. I’ve surprised her with my results but she seemingly can’t get rid of the vendetta she has against athletes and still has a negative perception of me.

I wanted to prove Ms Atwell wrong by working harder and trying to impress her through in class results, this was to no avail. She intentionally under-marked my tests and exams so I’d have to work even harder than the rest of my classmates. Ms Atwell planned a class trip to the Freud Museum in London, she believed that it’d benefit us greatly to have a full week dedicated to the wonders of psychology.

During the plane ride to London, I had the displeasure of being seated right next to Ms Atwell where she proceeded to ignore me for several hours. Despite this, I wasn’t shaken and I was determined to somehow win her over. We then arrived at the hotel only to realise that we have an odd amount of people, which meant that someone had to share the room with Ms Atwell. Unfortunately for her, it was me, she didn’t even bother telling me and I was greeted by a hotel worker in the lobby pointing at her; they told me that she’d be my roommate for the week.

As everyone else excitedly hurried to their rooms, Ms Atwell sat down in the lobby reading something on her phone with a disgruntled look on her face. “Hey, so they told me that I’m gonna stay with you Ms Atwell…” no response, just a quiet snicker and sharp side eye. “Here let me get these for you, I got our room key.” I said with a jovial tone as I picked up her bags and headed to the elevator.

During a school field trip, each student chooses a roommate for the week long trip. Unfortunately, my roommate had to withdraw last minute and multiple mixups with the hotel prompted a change. This resulted in my teacher, Ms Atwell to be my roommate for the week. (Read Body)
