Tooth problems and heart issues

Can heart issues be related to tooth problems? I started experiencing some heart issues a little over a month ago. I’d been experiencing chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, fatigue, and a general feeling of being unwell, and after several cardiology appointments they discovered I have lots of PACs and some episodes of SVT. More recently, I found out that I had a pretty nasty cavity on a bottom molar that needs a root canal. It started being pretty painful and it had gotten down to the nerve. I’ve heard that sometimes tooth issues can affect the heart but I’m not sure if that would apply to this situation. Could the cavity be affecting my heart?
