New layers

I put some fake eggs in their nest boxes, and they've been investigating (based on the feathers inside).

Would you leave or remove the fake eggs before they start laying? I have one hen that pecks everything and I'm worried she'll develop a habit of messing with the eggs and then I'll have to get rid of her.

I've never hatched and raised up my own hens before, and have always bought older layers so I don't know what is best to do
