Everywhere I go homeless people, drug addicts or just weird people talk to me, does this happen to anyone else?

Since I was about 15-16, every time I travel to somewhere new, sometimes when I just leave my house or when I go to a very populated area, homeless people, drug addicts, drunks or just peculiar people make it an effort to talk to me, starting conversations about their life, something completely random or just giving me general life advice. I don’t particularly mind it but it’s come to a point where every time I go out my family or friends just expect it. I’m curious if this just happens to me or if other people experience this.
