Shells

I saw somewhere that they don’t allow you to bring shells back onto the ship. I like to collect one or two whenever I go to the beach, and I’d really like to search for shark teeth! Is this rule true, and does it apply to shark teeth as well?

I know this is a weirdly specific question, haha. Thank you in advance!
