Getting Webcam Further from Mac

Because my DJ set up has to be a bit further away from my streaming computer than I would like, a longer USB cable struggles to run power to the WebCam, and I get choppy video.

I have read that the two main options are

1. Getting a wireless Web camera. Something I’m considering, but hoping for a cheaper option.

2. sending the USB WebCam through an ethernet cable and then back out to a USB to plug into the computer because the ethernet can send to much further.

The second option is what I’m here to ask about. If anyone does this, and how they do it, what gear they use. I can’t find anything that’s basically a USB female end for my webcam to plug into, going to an Ethernet cable with an ethernet to male USB on the other end.
