Best option for remote controlling, powering on and off, work PC

I have a pc in the office I need for rendering and a MacBook I use when I work remotely. What's the best software to remote control the work PC. I have a small office and there is often no one there so I will need to be able to power on and off the PC remotely. I'm the only user and we don't have a company server or anything.
