After retirement purple heart
I received multiple concussions from being EOD. Ive had a few close calls, one of which was a 107 hitting the other side of a wall of the bathroom at SuperFob. I couldn't stand, dropped to the ground and remember being nauseous. I don't remember getting to the TOC but I walked in to tell them the direction it came from. I called my then commander to get cleared to go with the qrf to take care of anything that came up at the launch site. Commander told me I could write up the report and then go lay down. I did just that. I had to cancel a partnership incident brief and ride along and was out of it. I've since been diagnosed with tbi and post explosive event seizures by WRIISC war related illness and injury service center out of DC. I still have seizures, can't hear out of my left ear and at the end of my anti seizure meds half life I start slurring my words. All documented at the WRIISC who pulls up events, reports, manifests, everything. I never went to the medic for that but shortly after the incident I had chest pains and was out on bed rest for that. Only witness to the tbi concussion would most likely be those in the TOC after it happened. I know the commander is dead and I don't know how to find anyone since it wasn't my unit and I stayed in a smaller compound temporarily with the green berets from 3rd group.
1 anyone know how to find people with the info I have for a witness statement
2 do I even have a shot or should I not bother
