Electric - leisure battery set up Vs portable system costs
Hi! Just bought a van and starting the journey. I'm looking to initially use it for (long) weekends but as I get it more sorted do longer trips and over to Europe. It's a Ford Transit, high roof, mwb.
I've started looking into getting electric. Who knows what I might want in future but initially if it can charge my phone, laptop, run a couple of lights and a fan I'm probably happy. I'm going to be somewhat roughing it at least for a while.
I started looking at a leisure battery setup and (at least from YouTube, which I know can be v influencer heavy) advice led me to costs of 200-250 for a battery, 50 for an busbar, 50for an inverter...other bits ofc...summary it's going to easily go over 500 and probably a chunk more.
Still cheaper normally than a portable...
But bluetti currently have a sale with the elite 100 V2 very reduced at 499.
Given I'm new, have minimal requirements for now, and that seems v comparable due to the sale price...am I right that it seems like a no brainer to keep things simple for now and get the bluetti?
(If anyone has decent low budget leisure setup suggestions I'm ofc v Open to hearing, to be honest I was quite intrigued to give the wiring up a go so happy to do so if cheaper)
