Is it me or has traffic down State street gotten worse recently?

Not trying to turn this into Nextdoor but…..

I occasionally commute down to State/Glenwood from downtown-ish for appointments and errands (I’m actually going to be living on that side of town). The last few weeks - it has been jam-packed. It’s even pretty bad on the weekends and non peak hours. Even with the construction by the golf course, I’ve noticed it’s just been worse recently. It feels like things have been piling up.

Anyone know what’s going on or noticed the same thing? I’ve also wondered why there is more housing and business being built up on that side versus the other side (SE Boise / Parkcenter). It seems like a recipe for more traffic long term.
