Digital Camera recommendations

I’m looking to buy a digital camera for my girlfriend’s birthday - My budget is around £100. I Want a more vintage look (mainly photography rather than videos), and a small/portable design. I’ve looked at the Sony Cybershot, and the Nikon Coolpix, but want to know if these are worth it, and if there are better (and cheaper) alternatives? Thank you.
