This is my current collection that I started at the very end of 2023. I used to be more involved in the hobby back in 2019 and had 50+ bottles at one point. I was even selling decants and splits online through reddit and elsewhere. I eventually sold most of it and kept a few bottles. But over the last 1.5 years I’ve slowly started again, only buying the fragrances I love and think are a 10/10.

So going from left to right, here’s a brief summary of what I think of each of these:

TdH: didn’t love it at first. In fact, I didn’t really like it at all. My wife (she was my girlfriend at the time) adores TdH so I gave it another shot and fell in love with it. To my nose, it smells like an orange peel that is squeeze over a cocktail supported with vetiver and woods. Don’t need to say much more about this one. 10/10 masterpiece.

Ganymede: ahhhhh…. My current obsession (along with Reflection man). This one is just so different and very very difficult to describe. Almost like new suede leather, mixed with a light vinyl plastic smell (in a good way) and some underlying sweetness. Very unique and I cannot get enough of this, I find it intoxicating and my wife loves it too. Bought a full bottle on the spot. This will be a future modern classic.

Reflection Man: another current love of mine. This is very refined, slightly floral but still leaning masculine, powdery and very clean. Easy dumb reach for any occasion and is very classy.

Hacivat: Another hyped up fragrance but for good reason. I like slightly earthy fragrances and this has an Aventus vibe with an earthiness you do not get from Aventus. In my head, to describe this fragrance I picture Aventus mixed with fresh soil and roots.

Bois Imperial: has resemblance to Ganymede, but I do not agree with those that state this is a cheaper version. To my nose, this is like Platinum Egoiste with green notes added and a SLIGHT metallic quality. Another very easy dumb reach for any occasion.

Aventus: nothing needs to be said here, this was a wedding gift from my wife on our wedding day.

Layton: also hyped to death for good reason. Don’t need to share much about this one, fresh apple pie vibe but with an added freshness.

Gris Charnel Extrait: to me this is like Dior homme intense and La nuit de lhomme had a love child with added cedar to make it a bit more creamy woods like. Great cooler summer evening/fall and winter scent. Very cozy.

Oud Wood: one of my all time favorites and one of my wife’s all time favorites as well. I get a slight hint of western Oud (not real Oud) which mixed with this SLIGHTLY damp woods effect on initial spray eventually drying down to dry woods. 10/10

Next on my list to buy is gentle fluidity silver.

Happy to answer any questions and hope you enjoyed reading through this!
