Do guitar tones tend to converge on rolled back volume / tone?
I've been playing around with my Jaguar, PRS P90 guitar, and PRS Vela guitar, and cut the tone knob most all of the way back, drop the volume knob real low, and turn amp volume back up to get some sound back, and it seems like the sounds between the guitars tend to converge to a more slightly volumized very clean sound. Put them all at half and the sounds between the different pickups start to diverge a lot.
Is this a more general rule that at very weak volume settings and rolled back tone, the pickups tend to sound somewhat similar?
