F26 matched with the colleague of her ex situationship

Hi everyone! So a friend (F 26) of mine had gotten out of an 8-month-long situationship(M 28) where there was no improvement at all, no growth. It ended last year, and it’s been 8 months since. She was in tough place both emotionally and mentally toward the end.

Now, after all these months, she’s finally ready to move on. She’s in a place where she can actually think about liking somebody again. So she joined Bumble, and there she liked a guy.

Now this is what she told that, she had matched with this guy years ago, but nothing ever clicked back then. This time, though, she found him really intriguing. She hadn’t liked anyone in a very long time, but she liked him. And then he dropped the bomb that he’s in the same department as the guy she was seeing 💀

We’ve discussed this a lot and we advised her not to go forward. But we’re also curious about what the guy’s perspective on this might be.
