How to decode BUFR data and put them on a map - or else
This might come as a technical question, so I apologise in advance if this is against the subreddit’s rules. Since I work in the legal side of aviation, I handle many cases, often involving the weather. It happens that I need to rely on technical data to support my claims and whatnot, so when it comes to present METARs and TAFs, it’s no problem at all. But when it comes to airspace, and the weather affecting specific areas of specific countries… boy oh boy. I really don’t know where to start, or what to look at. And if I have to look at historical data, even worse: I don’t know where to find them.
I was thinking about relying on the good ol’ BUFR datasets and transposing them on a map or something, but honestly I don’t know if this is the best solution. So, any suggestion?
Thank you all in advance.
TL;DR: I need a way to put weather data on a map for work.
