How is baldness determined?

Hey! My mother’s side has baldness on both sides of her family, her brother is bald, and her father was bald. However, my father’s side has thick, full hair. Am I going to lose my hair? I have ginger hair and it’s always been super thick/grown quickly. Im scared of losing my hair.
