I think I messed up.
My art comp is 164 prizes ( 22m sd, 15k stars, 3 starpasses, Spice set, etc ) there are 100 spots for winners.
There's less than a month left and I've gotten 12 submissions. A lot of them are doodles. ( 100% okay ) But I got three where it's basically just a stick figure, bad picture, bad lighting, etc.
They'd end up winning 280k sd and 250 stars.
I promise I am not being ungrateful. I am happy anyone has chosen to join at all. But I am a bit worried. A lot of the submissions have been doodles from alt accounts that I think may just be submitted for the participation prize. Some were even AI.
I feel like I should've made less spots and made the prizes higher so people might take it more seriously? Not sure. I know there is still some time left but I'm wondering if I should make first prize higher ( og is 4 million sd, 2k stars, a starpass and the Spice set ) maybe make it closer to six million and 3k stars? Maybe that would encourage people to join who want to put in effort.
I have gotten some submission that are really great. I mean I've literally cried over one because its perfect, but some of the others worry me because I feel like I duped myself.
I've seen other comps with higher prizes and lower places, like 10 million for 1st place, but I really wanted eveyone to win something. I also thought people might be more interested in a mix of prizes instead of just sd.
Lesson learned I suppose. Any tips? Im new to all this πππ»
