Quick Javelin Question

Hello, I've tried googling and didn't get a clear cut answer on this. I know Javelin requires secure boot, and is kernel level anticheat.

My question is, does it start the process at boot, and stay on the entire time? Or does it launch Javelin once you start the game, and close when you close the game?

My concern is if it's like Vanguard anticheat, where it needs to stay on the entire time, and if you turn it off, it requires a reboot to play any relevant games.
